Leadership, Motivation & Team Building The world of leadership theory has a habit of making itself over complicated. Ultimately leaders succeed if they know themselves, can communicate and interact with their people, and generally treat others with respect. If all it took was fun words and colourful posters to motivate you or your people, then work would indeed be easy! Effective and efficient teamwork goes beyond individual accomplishments.
Mentoring & Coaching For all levels of business function, mentoring is about assigning appropriate relationships designed to promote employee development. They are values-oriented as well as focusing on career development. In well-designed mentoring programs, there are program goals, schedules, training (for both mentors and protégés), and evaluation. How well matched are your mentor relationships? Coaching is more specific whether aimed at individuals or groups. Direction may include motivational speaking and training may include seminars, workshops, and supervised practice.
